GUIYANG, April 27 (Xinhua) -- A landslide in southwest China's Guizhou Province on Saturday afternoon has left one villager dead and six others missing, local authorities said.
Eight villagers were buried after the landslide hit Mawo Village near Bijie City at 12:50 p.m., said an official with the publicity bureau of Bijie's Qixingguan District that administers the village.
One villager has been pulled out alive while another was found dead, and six others remain buried, the official said, adding that an all-out rescue attempt is under way.
