BEIJING, April 17 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.0 magnitude on the Richter scale jolted the Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, southwest China's Yunnan Province at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The epicenter, with a depth of 11 km, was monitored at about 25.9 degrees north latitude and 99.8 degrees east longitude, the center said.
