PLA's first pilot project of joint campaign training evaluation launched

The first pilot project of joint campaign training evaluation of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) was officially launched in the Jinan Theater, the reporter learnt on March 29, 2013 from the planning meeting on joint campaign training of the Jinan Theater in 2013.

The Central Military Commission (CMC) and the general headquarters/departments of the PLA have entrusted the Jinan Theater with the pilot project of joint campaign training successively since 2009. In the last four years, under the guidance of the PLA general headquarters/departments, the Jinan Theater has organized a series of major joint training activities such as theater joint actual-troop exercises led by the Jinan Military Area Command (MAC), the air force of the Jinan MAC and the North China Sea Fleet of the PLA Navy successively, established the leading organ of joint training organization and operational mechanism, and promoted the joint training to make substantial progress towards regularization, normalization and standardization. The PLA general headquarters/departments entrusted the Jinan Theater with the pilot project of joint campaign training evaluation in 2013.

As the PLA's first pilot unit of joint campaign training evaluation, the Jinan Theater will make the overall arrangement of the services and arms within the theater, coordinate the experts of the PLA military academies including the National Defense University (NDU), discuss how to solve such key and difficult problems as content system, quality index, evaluation methods and means of evaluation, and achieve systematic results from the implementation of joint training evaluation of the theater and the basic campaign army corps.
