According to Tencent reports, actress Yang Mi on Nov. 13 posted a photo of two hands bearing wedding rings on her Wechat page, officially announcing her wedding to Hong Kong actor Hawick Lau. Lau subsequently posted a message of his own, adding that their wedding will take place on Jan. 8, 2014. It is said that they have obtained the required marriage certificates.

Yang released a message on her blog, saying, "We hope for your blessings of this event!" Then she updated her blog with a photo of two hands bearing wedding rings.

Ten minutes later, Lau reposted his fiancée's message and added, "I am finally getting a taste of the old saying 'We hold their hands -- We are to grow old together with them.' I only hope we can be together in the following days; if you are tired, I will carry you on my back and slow down our steps. Thank you for giving your hand to me. Thanks to your parents for trusting me! We chose to have our wedding on Jan. 8, 2014, a special day on which we went public with our love two years ago."

As both artists are busy with work, time before the big day is limited. Nevertheless, their teams will coordinate schedules to ensure they get more time to prepare and rehearse for the wedding, which might actually take place on an island.
