BEIJING, Dec. 30 --The Sixth Theater Olympics, an international event to promote the development of theater and arts, will be held in Beijing in November 2014.

Top thespians from across the world will stage about 45 plays, including 30 foreign plays and 15 Chinese plays at the event, which has a "dream" theme. Audiences will be able to watch drama, opera, dancing and traditional Chinese opera.

The Theater Olympics was established in Delphi, Greece, in 1993 by several renowned theater directors and playwrights, with Theodoros Terzopoulos as chairman of its International Committee.
