China and Japan have drawn 3-3 in the East Asian Cup men’s match in Seoul.

Wang Yong Po converted from the spot and scored the first goal for China at the very beginning of the match. But Japan soon equalised in the 33rd minute and took control of the match.

After the break, Japan struck twice in the space of minutes around the hour mark to go 3-1 up. But China made some adjustments and scored twice in the final 10 minutes, holding Japan to a 3-3 draw.

The Chinese team has undergone dramatic changes following an embarrassing 5-1 home loss to Thailand a few weeks ago. Former coach Jose Antonio Camacho has been sacked and many of the players who performed under par in that match have also been kept out.
