You would've been hard pressed to find someone that would predict Guan would make the cut. You probably would've had an easier time finding someone that would predict he would shoot 90. However, this week we saw a young man handle the immense pressure of Augusta and history, and impress so many along the way.

Last Thursday kicked off a weekend for the history books. After an opening round in which China’s teen phenomenon scored better than reigning Masters champion Bubba Watson. Friday brought an encore as the 14-year-old made the cut, the lone amateur to do so. Guan Tianlang may have entered the year’s first major as a curiousity, but by Sunday evening, he had left a lasting impression on many who saw him in action, including the top player in the world.

Tiger Woods said, "It was cool to see the attitude, the open-mindedness. He’s just taking it all in. He’s gonna learn and become so much better because of this experience. Certainly is gonna grow as a player, as a person."

Thanks to his win at last year’s Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship, Guan earned the right to tee it up at Augusta where his mature game and attitude caught the attention of fellow golfers and awestruck spectators alike.
