Home appliance products from several famous manufactures failed to meet the quality standards, according to an announcement issued by Shanghai quality supervision authority.

Shanghai Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision tested household electric washing machines of 17 batches of sampling products from well-known brands, including Panasonic, Little Duck and LG, and found that five batches failed to meet the quality standard.

Among them, XQB65-H671U full automatic washing machine from Panasonic Home Appliances (Hangzhou) Co. has serious quality problems, including washing performance, power consumption and energy efficiency rating. 3D32A4000iV LCD TV from Sichuan Changhong Electric Co. failed to meet the quality standard due to unqualified energy efficiency grade. An indoor heater from Haier Group is also among the list of unqualified products.
