BRUSSELS, Oct. 25 - Spain will call in the U.S. ambassador to Madrid to explain reports of U.S. spying for consultation, media quoted Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy as saying Friday.
Despite lack of "evidence that Spain has been spied on," Rajoy said "We are calling in the ambassador to get information."
Rajoy's remarks came after an EU summit dominated by the alleged U.S. spying scandal and the immigration concerns in the Mediterranean.
French Foreign Ministry has summoned the U.S. ambassador to France on Monday while German Foreign Ministry summoned U.S. ambassador to Germany on Thursday following the alleged U.S. spying to the countries.
