GENEVA, Oct. 15 -- European Union (EU) foreign policy chief's spokesman said Tuesday that negotiators have had "very detailed technical discussions" during the new round of Iran nuclear talks.
"For the first time, very detailed technical discussions continued this afternoon," said Michael Mann, spokesman for EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton, in a statement.
Mann said that Ashton, who represents the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, Britain, China, France, Russia and the United States plus Germany in the talks with Iran, would have a bilateral meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif, who heads the country's delegation.
"We will continue our discussions tomorrow morning," he said.
It's reported that Zarif gave a presentation of Iran's proposals Tuesday morning, and the negotiators reconvened after a lunch break to look at further details of the Iranian proposal.
