HONG KONG, July.10 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale jolted Kepulauan Mentawai region, Indonesia at 1704 GMT on Tue (0104 Beijing Time), the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.30 km, was initially determined to be at 3.3165 degrees south latitude and 100.4740 degrees east longitude.
