6 dead in shooting spree in Santa Monica, California: police

LOS ANGELES, June 7 (Xinhua) -- Six people were killed Friday in a shooting spree in Santa Monica, California, said police chief of the Santa Monica police department Jacqueline Seabrooks, at a news conference.

Police said the suspect involved in the shooting incident was a white male wearing ballistic vest. The gunman exchanged fired with police officers before he was shot and killed at a library of the Santa Monica College,. No policeman was injured during the shootout.
