ISLAMABAD, May 24 (Xinhua) -- At least two people were killed and three others injured in two separate terrorist attacks in northwest and southwest Pakistan on Friday morning, local media reported.

Urdu TV channel Dawn said that the first attack came at about 9: 40 a.m. (local time) when a convoy of local paramilitary troops, Frontier Constabulary (FC), was attacked in Turbat city of the country's southwest Balochistan province.

Police said that some unknown militants exploded a roadside planted bomb with a remote controlled device as soon as the FC vehicle passed near it.

The blast left two troops injured who were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

The second incident happened at about 10:00 a.m. (local time) when some unknown gunmen opened fire at a NATO container in the country's northwest tribal area of Khyber Agency.

The container's driver and cleaner were killed in the firing and a passerby got injured who was shifted to a nearby hospital.

No group claimed responsibility for any of the attack yet.

Police cordoned off the respective areas following the blast and started investigation.
