SARAJEVO, April 26 (Xinhua) -- Corruption investigators on Friday searched government and presidential buildings of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH).
Members of the State Investigation and Protection (SIPA) carried out the operations under orders of the prosecutor's office and the state court, local media reported.
BiH President Zivko Budimir, prime minister and other high officials were inside the building at the time of the search.
SIPA began operation code named "Memory, Partriot and Justice" on Friday, with the assistance from other law enforcement departments. The aim of the operation is to investigate alleged corruption at highest level of FBiH.
In Sarajevo, large numbers of journalists gathered in front of presidential building of FBiH.
Meanwhile, Laura Bosnjak, advisor for media of the FBiH president's office, denied earlier media reports that Budimir was arrested.
