The Ministry of Education has issued new regulations targeting loopholes in middle and primary schools' safety standards by specifying duties for different school employees.
A ministry circular issued Thursday said the regulations outline the duties of staff members in 40 different positions, ranging from principal, department chiefs and teachers to guards and school bus maintenance workers.
The document also proposes measures intended to prevent stampedes and ensure food safety, as well as help schools cope with emergencies.
