Wu Fenglei, deputy director of the overall plan office of the Beijing Aerospace Control Center (BACC), said: "Accuracy control of the mechanical arm at a distance of 380,000 kilometers has been realized in the probe, making China's breakthrough in controlling a mechanical arm with high precision on the lunar surface".

According to Wu, during the scientific exploration, the Alpha particle X-ray spectrometer at the end of the mechanical arm was only 20 millimeters from the target probe point. The exploration lasted about 30 minutes and all the operations were precisely performed. In the following-up work, the moon rover "Yutu" will explore the lunar stones and lunar craters.
