World's largest exhibition for solar industry kicks off in Munich

MUNICH, Germany, June 19 (Xinhua) -- The Intersolar Europe 2013 exhibition gets underway on Wednesday in the Munich International Exhibition Center.

The three-day exhibition boasts an outside area and 12 exhibition halls measuring 121.000 square meters this year. It is expected to attract 50,000 visitors and 1,500 exhibitors, more than 10 percent of whom come from China, according to the organizing committee.

The organizer said, the latest development in photovoltaic, PV production technology, energy storage and solar thermal technology are to be discovered in the annual event.

"We make great efforts to join in High-Tech industry," Paris-based solar energy company W. Sun Energy's President Huang Xuezhong said.

"Only with advanced technology and innovation can we stay in an industry full of competition," he said.

Intersolar is the world's leading exhibition series for the solar industry with Intersolar Europe as its largest event. The next year's exhibition is due from June 4 to 6, 2014.
