BEIJING, June 29 (Xinhua) -- Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, is about to present the July 1 Medal to outstanding Party members in the Great Hall of the People Tuesday morning. Xi will deliver an important speech at the ceremony.
A ceremony to present the July 1 Medal to outstanding Communist Party of China (CPC) members is being held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on June 29. Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, presents the medal and delivers a speech at the ceremony.

An art performance was held in Beijing on Monday evening in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Party and state leaders Xi Jinping, Li Keqiang, Li Zhanshu, Wang Yang, Wang Huning, Zhao Leji, Han Zheng and Wang Qishan joined about 20,000 people to watch the performance, titled "The Great Journey," at the National Stadium.
