BEIJING, May 31 (Xinhua) -- The past five years have been the best for the development of human rights in China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, a Chinese official said Monday. People's living conditions have improved remarkably and great achievements have been made in the fight against poverty in Xinjiang, Li Xiaojun, an official with the State Council Information Office, told a press conference.
