World No.2 female tennis player Victoria Azarenka was surprisingly knocked out in the first round of the China Open, losing 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 to world No.43 Andrea Petkovic in Beijing's National Tennis Centre Monday.
The defending champion Azarenka from Belarus double-faulted 15 times and was broken five times by Petkovic of Germany, who reached the final in the China Open in 2011.
