Yao Ming set up his dominance of the Asian men's basketball in this year. Although Yao Ming's averaged playing time was just 21 minutes, he got 13.4 points and 10.1 rebounds. He showed a high level in the final game against Lebanon, scoring 16 points and grabbing 11 rebounds to help Chinese men's basketball to claim the title. He won the Asian Championships MVP and rebounding honors.
