As the Asian qualified team in Olympic, China played against Japan in the final. The referee apparently favored Japan. Eight players, including Mu Tiezhu, were sent off, and only four players were in the play, but eventually China beat Japan 70-68. China also won South Korea and got the ticket to Moscow Olympics.
