Export worldwide
The company’s products have been exported to more than 70 countries and regions, where they play a crucial role in strengthening the reliability of critical equipment and making it more environmentally friendly.
In addition to ties with many local companies, the company has forged partnerships with some well-known colleges and universities in China, Wang said. It also works with research institutes, such as the China Electric Power Research Institute, in solar energy, wind power generation and other forms of alternative power.
The company made great strides last year in the development of integrated data center solutions, monitoring systems and wind cooling products.
Wang said the Xi’an High-Tech Industries Zone has motivated many companies within it to apply for patents in recent years through policy support and capital. According to the vice-president, Emerson Network Power Xi’an applied for 307 patents in the past six years, 71 percent of which have been granted.
“We believe, in the future, the situation will be even better because the administrative committee has recognized that more efforts are needed to protect intellectual property rights,” he said.
Emerson Network Power has established two product R&D facilities in China. The other is located in Shenzhen, Guangdong province.
As a global leader in maximizing availability, capability and efficiency of critical infrastructure, it delivers software, hardware and services that are involved in data centers, communication networks, healthcare and industrial facilities.
In 2011, the company generated $6.8 billion in sales revenues, of which about more than $1 billion worth of contracts were signed in China.
Most of its customers are globally influential and well known, including China Mobile, EMC, IBM, Huawei, Dell, Ericsson, Cisco and Verizon.
Business-Critical Continuity is a core service that the company is proud of.
“When critical applications are on the line, constant uptime isn’t just one of the goals, it’s the core of the business. Emerson Network Power innovates and keeps the customers ahead of the curve,” Wang noted.
