A hottly screening movie is light-hearted romance drama The Tiny Times, directed by star novelist Guo Jingming, and adopted from a series of novels he first published in 2008. Despite being his first directed movie, Tiny Times has swept over Chinese cinemas, attracting millions of young viewers, many of whom are already fans of the books.
Although some remain doubtful about the quality of the movie, Tiny Times’ starring actor, teen heart-throb Ke Zhendong, says it has its reasons to be phenomenally successful.
Ke Zhendong said, "It tells realistic stories of what’s happening right now around us. And the movie’s visual style is very modern and glamorous. I think that really appeals to young people."
