The cookbook project organizer, Felege Hiwot Berhe of Ethiopia, said the group was eager to present the beauty of African food culture to Chinese people as well as raise money for charity.
The colorful book will be available online (www.gaasbeijing.org) for 400 yuan ($65), and the recipes have ingredient lists adapted for home cooking in China.
Two representative dishes from 34 African countries are included, with details on their origin, ingredients and the preparation required. This year is the 30th anniversary of GAAS Beijing.
