Catching up with Will Pan (3)

(CNTV)

10:12, March 28, 2013

Will Pan, one of the most popular singers in Asia, his music crosses many genres, but Pan says there’s only one style he could listen to all day long, and that’s hip-hop.(Photo/CNTV)

Will Pan said, "I think at different phases, different stages of life, you have different preferences. Right now I just love singing and dancing for everyone I could do for. "

Pan says he mostly wants to focus on dance music, which he has been doing for 10 years. But the genre is now dominated by K-pop and western artists. He’s ambitious to promote Chinese dance music!

Will Pan said, "People do really talk about K-pop or western music. They are definitely great music but people here don’t give enough credit for our own dance music, hopefully in the next 5 or 10 years we could probably have our own Gangnam style songs too! "

Fame exacts a high price, including one’s time. Always in demand, Pan dashes off to yet another interview. But he promises to visit with us the next time he’s in town.
