Italian Consul General Vincenzo De Luca said, "Of course, Shanghai is becoming more and more international capital also of culture and lifestyle. There's an increasing exchange between Italy and China, between Shanghai and Italy. So that's why we are trying to promote more and more events here in Shanghai."
To better promote the cultural exchanges, the Italy Pavilion from the 2010 world Expo has been turned into an exhibition center. It reopened to the public last May with displays including Italian jewelry, design, and sports cars.
