The troupe's instructor uses sign language to communicate with the students. She applied for the job after seeing their award-winning performance for CCTV in 2005.

Zhu Yue, Teacher of China Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe, said, "Their performances have been very well received. Many people were moved to tears. Parents want their kids to watch the shows as an inspiration."

With more than a dozen dance numbers in its repertoire, the China Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe stages over 150 shows at home and abroad every year.
