Rare birds' protection in E China's Jiangsu (2)

A soldier from Yancheng border detachment (R) and a staff member of the nature reserve rescue a red-crowned crane at national nature reserve of rare birds in Yancheng, east China's Jiangsu Province, Dec. 11, 2012. The reserve was set to protect rare birds such as red-crowned cranes since 1980s. Over the past 30 years, soldiers here have been protecting the rare birds and wetlands. (Xinhua/Zhang Shanyu)
