BEIJING, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- China's top legislature on Friday adopted a law on procuratorial public-interest litigation, which will take effect on Jan. 1, 2027.
Passed at a session of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the law has 53 articles in six chapters, covering general provisions, jurisdiction, case filing, investigation and initiation of lawsuits, trial, enforcement, and supplementary provisions.
The law specifies the areas of cases covered by administrative and civil public interest litigation, the content and procedures of procuratorial suggestions in public interest litigation, and how it links up with other laws.
