Chinese audiovisual works showcased at festival in Tunisia

TUNIS, Sept. 23 (Xinhua) -- As part of the 26th Arab Radio and Television Festival, a session for the promotion of audiovisual industry cooperation between China and Arab States was held Tuesday in Hammamet, a resort town in northeast Tunisia.

Nearly 100 Chinese audiovisual works were showcased at the event, including TV series, documentaries, animations, and micro-dramas.

Mohammad bin Fahd Al-Harithi, president of the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU), said in an address that China's audiovisual industry continues to impress the world with its innovation, progress, and cutting-edge technology.

He expressed ASBU's eagerness to engage with Chinese counterparts in areas such as content production, talent exchange and training, and artificial intelligence applications, aiming to launch more fruitful cooperation projects.

Themed "Audio-Visual Innovation: Audio-Visual Innovation, China and Arab States Moving Forward Together," the event attracted over 30 Chinese representatives from audiovisual organizations who traveled to Tunisia for the exhibition, while 35 Chinese organizations participated virtually.
