Ji'an in E China's Jiangxi builds 10-bln-yuan earbud industry

Ji'an High-Tech Industrial Development Zone in Ji'an county, Ji'an city, east China's Jiangxi Province, is home to the world's largest production base for high-end wireless Bluetooth earbuds.

In 2025, the audiovisual equipment manufacturing cluster in the county recorded a total output of more than 30 billion yuan (about $4.47 billion), while the county's electronic information industry generated 45.5 billion yuan in revenue.

In the smart workshop of Jiangxi Luxshare Intelligent Manufacture Co., Ltd., located in the Ji'an High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, 17 production lines are running at full capacity. Every day, tens of thousands of sets of high-end Bluetooth earbuds are packed and shipped to markets around the world.

So far, the zone has facilitated 24 cross-company cooperation projects, raising the local supporting rate from 8 percent to 12 percent.

At the 5G digital factory of Eaglerise Electric & Electronic (Ji'an) Co., Ltd., more than 100 robotic arms work in tandem, while automated guided vehicles (AGVs) shuttle continuously around the workshop. A workforce of 180 now generates the output once produced by 600 workers. Monthly transformer production capacity has risen from 200 to 600 units, while the product loss rate has fallen from 8 percent to 2 percent.

The cluster is now home to 27 national-level high-tech enterprises, four national-level 'little giant' enterprises (small and medium-sized manufacturers that focus on a niche market and lead in cutting-edge technology), and two national-level manufacturing champions. Over the past three years, the cluster's total R&D spending has exceeded 1.1 billion yuan, and it now holds 278 valid invention patents.

Technology here is benchmarked against global cutting-edge standards. IAG Group, a premier manufacturer of audio equipment for both domestic and professional use, owns more than 10 internationally recognized brands, bringing an increasing number of "Made in Ji'an" products to the international audio market.
