Bridging cities through innovation: global mayors amazed at Wuhan's leading tech firms

On Sept. 19, as a part of the 2026 Global Mayors Dialogue · Wuhan, a delegation of mayors and city leaders from around the world visited Xiaomi, HGTECH and Dongfeng Motor Corporation in Wuhan, central China's Hubei Province.

The group visited exhibition halls and production workshops to view cutting-edge innovations and industrial applications in automatic manufacturing, laser technology and new energy vehicles.

During the visits, the foreign officials were amazed by the technological strength of these enterprises. Many expressed hope to take this visit as an opportunity to boost exchanges and practical cooperation with Chinese cities and enterprises. They hope to advance two-way connectivity and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
