Envoys to China explore people-centered cities and China's governance

China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted 30 envoys and diplomats from 20 countries on a visit to Shanghai and east China's Jiangsu Province from Sept. 7 to 11.

The trip was held under the theme "Explore People-Centered Cities: China's Governance, Global Engagement (Shanghai and Jiangsu)," and participants saw firsthand how the principle that "cities should be built by the people and for the people" is put into practice.

Whether it is listening to residents and responding to their needs, or improving urban governance and pursuing sustainable development, urban development ultimately comes back to people.
