Happiness in Xinjiang: Closely united like pomegranate seeds

If you were to choose one phrase to describe your life today, what would it be?

Recently, a reporting team traveled across northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region as part of People's Daily Online's "China Momentum" program, visiting people from all walks of life and talking to residents in communities and neighborhoods. In their stories, one word came up more than any other: happiness.

Today, people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang are like the closely clustered seeds of a pomegranate, living in harmony and supporting one another as they pursue stable, happy lives on this land.
