In early autumn, Potatso National Park in Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Shangri-La, southwest China's Yunnan Province, is a feast for the eyes. Crystal-clear alpine lakes lie nestled in the valleys, reflecting blue skies and drifting clouds. Wildflowers dot the vast alpine meadows, while winding streams and leisurely strolling visitors along the walkways complete the magnificent scene.

Located in the heart of the Three Parallel Rivers of Yunnan Protected Areas, which is a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, Potatso National Park boasts exceptional high-altitude ecological resources, with diverse landscapes ranging from lakes and wetlands to forests and meadows, as well as river valleys and streams. It is home to numerous rare plants and animals and boasts rich biodiversity. The park is a vital biodiversity reserve and ecological security barrier for Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, playing a key role in maintaining ecological balance and safeguarding ecological security in northwestern Yunnan.
