China adopts new law to strengthen healthcare security

BEIJING, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- Chinese lawmakers on Friday voted to adopt a new law on healthcare security to improve healthcare services and strengthen the country's healthcare security system.
The law, passed at a session of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, will take effect on Jan. 1, 2027.
