13th Beijing Xiangshan Forum to be held in mid-September
BEIJING, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- The 13th Beijing Xiangshan Forum, a key platform for international security and defense dialogue, will take place in the Chinese capital from Sept. 15 to 17, a spokesperson for China's Ministry of National Defense said Thursday.
This year's forum, themed "Build Consensus on Stability, Advance Security Governance Together," will feature four plenary sessions and eight parallel sessions, spokesperson Zhang Xiaogang told a regular press conference.
The 4th China-Africa Peace and Security Forum will also be held alongside the Xiangshan Forum, Zhang added.
Since its launch in 2006, the Beijing Xiangshan Forum has adhered to the principles of equality, openness, inclusiveness and mutual learning, and has grown into a major platform for global security dialogue.
"We invite defense and military leaders, representatives of international organizations, and renowned scholars to join the forum as we mark its 20th anniversary and explore solutions to global security governance together," the spokesperson said.
