For more than a century, music has been woven into the identity of Gulangyu Island in Xiamen, southeast China's Fujian Province, earning it the nicknames "Island of Music" and "Island of Pianos."

Today, musicians from around the world continue to gather here, where historic architecture, cultural heritage and the timeless sound of the pipe organ create an inspiring setting for artistic exchange.

World-renowned French organist Olivier Latry and German organist Ludger Lohmann, two longtime friends whose paths have crossed through music for more than four decades, have reunited on Gulangyu as artists-in-residence.

Together, they share their passion for the pipe organ, reflect on China's growing community of young organists and show how music serves as a bridge between cultures.
