China-EU trade structure naturally shaped by market demand, complementary advantages: FM spokesperson
BEIJING, July 6 (Xinhua) -- Products that meet the needs and are of good quality and low price will naturally be popular, and the trade structure between China and Europe is a natural outcome driven by market demand and based on complementary advantages, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said on Monday.
Spokesperson Mao Ning made the remarks at a daily press briefing in response to reports that Chinese-made products such as air conditioners, fans and multi-functional sun umbrellas for heatstroke prevention and cooling have been highly sought after by European people.
Facts have proved that in trade between China and Europe, consumers have gained benefits and suppliers have reaped profits, Mao said, adding that it is impossible to force buying and selling; instead, it is a two-way street that benefits both sides.
