Draft revision to China's government procurement law submitted for deliberation
BEIJING, June 23 (Xinhua) -- A draft revision to China's government procurement law was submitted on Tuesday to the ongoing session of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature, for first deliberation.
The revision aims to improve the government procurement system and provide legal support for building a unified national market through better-aligned rules and institutions.
The draft contains 10 chapters and 104 articles. Key revisions include adjusting and optimizing the scope of application, strengthening the role of government procurement policies, enhancing whole-process management, improving the efficiency and standardization of transaction rules, refining fair competition mechanisms, and reinforcing oversight and anti-corruption measures.
