Rare two-colored water lily blooms in Puzhehei, SW China's Yunnan

In late spring, a stunning two-colored water lily has quietly blossomed in the lotus ponds of the Puzhehei Scenic Area in Qiubei county, Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, southwest China's Yunnan Province. The flower features petals split evenly between yellow and red, making it an eye-catching sight.

According to local sources, this is the first two-colored water lily to bloom in the scenic area this season. A national 5A tourist attraction, Puzhehei has long been renowned for its vast expanse of lotus flowers stretching across thousands of acres. Every summer, when the lotus flowers are in full bloom, rare and unusual blossoms, such as wild two-colored lotuses and twin lotuses, often appear in the area's ponds, drawing crowds of visitors eager to take photos and appreciate the natural wonders.
