Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday sent a congratulatory message to Tallis Obed Moses, Vanuatu's new president.
In the message, Xi said China-Vanuatu relations have maintained sound momentum of development since the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
Fruitful results have been achieved in bilateral cooperation in such fields as trade, economy, agriculture, fishery and infrastructure, he said, adding that expanding people-to-people and cultural exchanges have also brought tangible benefits to the two countries and peoples.
Xi said he is willing to work with Moses to push forward the China-Vanuatu strategic partnership for greater development.
