Senior CPC official stresses building the Party stronger
BEIJING, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- Shi Taifeng, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), on Monday called for studying Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building and continued efforts to make the CPC stronger.
Shi, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the CPC Central Committee's Organization Department, made the remarks while addressing a symposium on studying the selected works of Xi Jinping on Party building.
The event also marked the establishment of a research center for Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building by the CPC Central Committee's Organization Department, with the approval of the CPC Central Committee.
Shi urged efforts to make full use of the selected works to comprehend the historical, theoretical and practical logic of Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building, and consciously apply it to guiding and advancing Party building.
Since the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012, the CPC Central Committee with Xi Jinping at its core has set forth a series of new ideas, thoughts and strategies in addressing the major questions of the times -- what kind of Marxist party exercising long-term governance should be built, and how such a party should be built. In the process, Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building has taken shape.
