Xi says China ready to join Russia for multipolar world

BISHKEK, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Monday that China stands ready to work with Russia and other parties to strengthen the driving force for reform of global governance and the advancement of an equal and orderly multipolar world.

In his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Xi also said Beijing is willing to work with Moscow and various sides to jointly chart the course for the development of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and help ensure its steady and sustained progress.
