Xi says China making every effort to search for missing people in mudslide disaster

BISHKEK, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping said here on Monday that China is making every effort to search for Chinese and foreign nationals who are missing in the mudslide disaster in China's Xizang Autonomous Region.
China is also taking all necessary measures to relocate and resettle those affected, provide medical treatment for the injured and prevent secondary disasters, Xi said in his opening remarks when meeting with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov.
At the same time, China has sent rescuers to Nepal and provided emergency assistance, he said, adding that China is sincerely grateful to President Japarov for expressing condolences over the disaster.
