"Stability," said Vuk Jeremić, president of the Center for International Relations and Sustainable Development (CIRSD), a global public policy think tank, without hesitation, when asked to describe China's economy in a single word at the China Development Forum 2026.

"This is a very unstable world. There are not too many parts of the world that are truly stable, well-planned and predictable. China, in my opinion, is the symbol of stability in today's world," Jeremić explained.

"(China's 15th Five-Year Plan) offers a sea of opportunities — not just for China, but for the rest of the world, if the rest of the world chooses to engage."

"We need stability and prosperity throughout the planet," he added.
