Located in Leshan, Sichuan Province, Mount Emei has long been a center of Buddhist, Daoist and Confucian traditions. It is also the birthplace of Emei martial arts, one of China's three major martial arts schools. Recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage, Emei martial arts go beyond combat and emphasize both physical training and discipline.
