Unitree Co-founder Chen Li: Leveraging Guangxi to empower ASEAN
On Dec. 26, 2025, the "AI for All: China-ASEAN" Competition Gala was held at Guangxi University in Nanning, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. According to Chen Li, co-founder of Unitree Robotics, ASEAN is set to become a highly promising market for embodied intelligence applications.
Leveraging its quadruped robots, humanoid robots, and embodied AI, Unitree is developing a wide range of application solutions. By aligning with Guangxi's geographic advantages, Unitree plans to build training and deployment scenarios locally, and then expand to ASEAN markets.
Looking ahead to 2026, Chen Li expects humanoid robots to operate in more generalized tasks with autonomous decision-making capabilities, empowering a wide range of industries.
