China's international trade promotion body pledges enhanced services to boost trade, investment with U.S.
BEIJING, Dec. 29 (Xinhua) -- The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade on Monday said it will step up efforts, introduce more measures and provide better services to facilitate two-way trade and investment between Chinese and U.S. companies in 2026.
Council spokesperson Wang Wenshuai made the remarks at a regular press conference, noting that the council will seize opportunities created by inviting U.S. enterprises and institutions to participate actively in business events during the APEC "China Year" and the fourth China International Supply Chain Expo.
Wang said the council has continued to promote exchange and deepen cooperation between the business communities in China and the United States this year.
She noted that in 2025, the council approved more than 3,900 Chinese enterprises to participate in 126 professional exhibitions in the United States, with an actual exhibition area totaling 52,000 square meters.
At the third China International Supply Chain Expo, the number of U.S. exhibitors increased 15 percent from the previous edition, continuing to rank first by number among overseas exhibitors, she said.
The council has provided an update on preparations for the Consumer Electronics Show 2026 in Las Vegas. Seven exhibition organizers will arrange for 207 Chinese enterprises to attend the exhibition following a review by the council, Wang said.
